About Us
VDK Neuropsychology provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to assess cognitive functioning. These evaluations can help identify baseline cognitive abilities and/or cognitive changes due to a variety of possible causes, including dementia, stroke, brain injury, or other medical events. The evaluations consist of a comprehensive interview, cognitive testing, and feedback. A thorough report will also be provided.
What to Expect

Consultation
A video or in-person consultation consists of information gathering, including concerns from self or others. We will discuss cognitive concerns, mood concerns, and physical concerns. We also discuss medical and psychiatric history, academic and vocational history, and social history.

Neuropsychological Testing
Testing consists of face-to-face measures to assess attention, processing speed, language, visuospatial skills, executive functioning, learning and memory. Each person's performance is compared to others of similar age and educational level to account for natural changes that are expected. Assessments will be adjusted to account for any physical limitations. Self-report measures will be included to assess mood symptoms.

Results and Report
Following the completion of testing and scoring, the results will be presented via video or in-person feedback. We discuss the pattern of findings on testing and diagnosis. We spend a lot of time discussing how the results can help current functioning and future functioning, including how to reduce the risk of cognitive decliine over time.
